The Battle To End All WarsRevelation 16:16 - “And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.”Revelation 19:19 - “And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.” Zechariah in chapters 11 - 14 tell more about this bloody battle that is to come. “If we do not now devise some greater and more equitable system, Armageddon will be at our door.” That prophetical battle is definitely shaping up to become a reality. It will be the last great battle between good and evil. There are many things happening there today. What is happening in Israel makes the headlines daily. There is war going on there as you read this very devotion. We do not have enough space in this devotion to discuss all the details of this battle and to be honest I am not sure I know many of them. But, this truth I am confident of, before this battle Jesus Christ will have first come for His own (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 4). God’s people should not be fearful but lift up our heads in delight! We are not just looking for something to happen, but for Someone to come! Isaiah 21:12 - “The watchman said, The morning cometh, and also the night: if ye will enquire, enquire ye: return, come.” For us who are saved there is coming an eternal morning but for those who are lost it will be night. These are indeed exciting days in which we live in. And before our very eyes we are witnessing all this movement of war in the Middle East that reminds us that God is on the throne and it must not be long until we shall see Jesus! Acts 1:10 & 11 - “And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.”
