TRUTH YOU CAN TRUST"Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day." (Psalm 25:4-5)The secular world has been teaching for some time now that there are multiple truths. Some Knot heads teach: "What may be true for you may not be true for me." Another crazy teaching out there is: "What may be true today may not be true tomorrow,"However, common sense teaches us there is truth or there is none. Truth by definition can't be found in multiple things. Either the Bible is true, or it is not. Silly people say that the Bible is a good book, like Shakespeare's writings or Charles Dickens and other great books, but like them, it was simply written by men. Someone once said, "Men couldn't have written the Bible if would, and wouldn't have written it if they could." And why is that? Because the Scriptures do not paint a pretty picture of the depravity of mankind, do they? Now David here was asking the Lord to lead him into God's truth and not what he thought. Because that is where only the real truth can be found. What may seem true to man is often an illusion or just plain deception. Our emotions can ride a roller coaster if we fix our thoughts on what appears to be true at the moment. Our one great desire should be to be led by His undeniable and unchanging Truth, which is written and taught in the Scriptures. When we study and meditate on God's Truth, we learn the correct way of seeing things. It changes our heart which ultimately changes our thinking as well as our direction. David needed this in many of his situations. And those in which he wasn't led in the Lord's truth resulted in compounded problems. The same will be true for every one of us!Not only is God our salvation from judgment and Hell, but also from wrong thinking and ignorance. That's why David was willing to wait on the Lord all day instead of running ahead with his own thoughts.Friends, people may ridicule and reject the Bible, but the last voice to be heard when the last sentence has been written will be the Word of God standing tall and true! To be believe and behave God's truth will always result in blessings from Heaven and faithfulness to Him and fruitfulness for Him.
