Somebody of great authority on the matter sent this graphic to me and stated that Gettr is about to shutdown, and that the feds are starting to sieze their finances (again). In 2023, the feds seized $2,700,000.00 from Gettr (I never knew this but was able to verify). Apparently, the Feds are stating that Gettr Founder, Guo Wengui, funded Gettr with a portion of the $1,000,000,000.00 + (yes, billion) he is accused of stealing from people around the world. Wengui was indicted federally in the USA and has been imprisoned since March of 2023 in Brooklyn, NY. On Tuesday, a federal judge denied his motion to dismiss his indictment. According to the indictment, Guo and his accomplices defrauded investors in a media company, cryptocurrency and other ventures of over $1,000,000,000.00. Research shows that a NY Bankruptcy trustee is seeking recompense after the same judge in the indictment rejected his request on Tuesday to stay the indictment until his bankruptcy matter is closed. Wengui has already forfeited assets to the tune of $635,000,000.00 in cash in the indictment. In addition, Wengui's $37,000,000.00 yacht was sold via a bankruptcy sale in the same court that has fined him $134,000,000.00 for contempt.I personally know nothing about Gettr. I hope none of this is true because I do believe that the more free speech platforms there are, the better the people. It pains me when any free speech platform is under assault as I lived that hell for 3 years. It is abundantly clear however, that Guo Wengui did start Gettr as a Chinese platform and that he is accused of crimes all over the world by several different countries and states. It is also clear that Gettr just laid off nearly the entire company workforce. There are some really good people on, and involved in Gettr, and it is a significant platform that has helped immensely in the Conservative movement. I'll pray they can work any and all issues out.We will begin adding infrastructure in the event Getter does close, or rather is forced to close, as their 10,000,000+ users really won't have anywhere else to go other than Wimkin.With the revolt against Gab, the mass exodus about to take place at Substack, and now Gettr alleged to be in severe trouble, we must be proactive and prepare for an influx of users so your user experience as active members is not affected, and so that we can accommodate the new users effectively.
