Joy That Fills Us Full "And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full." (1 John 1:4)There sure is a lot of hate in this old world, isn't there? So much so that we now have a crime named after it..."Hate Crimes" Why so much hate? The answer is given to us as John closes this great epistle on love in chapter 5 and verse 19, " And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness."The Lord certainly knew what He was talking about when He had John pen those Words under the Inspiration of the Holy Spirit. But how can we have Heaven's Happiness while living among Humanity's Hate?Aren't you eternally glad that we have His Words of Wisdom while we temporarily dwell in a World of Wickedness? The answer to our lack of joy is found in our lack of loving God's Word.Folks, I've been at and around the Father's Business for a number of years and have known plenty of folks who were tremendous lovers of God's Word. And I've also noticed that their faces and their faith have shown that love even in the worst of times.You know, it's pretty hard to continually wear a long face when your nose is always in the Book. God wrote us a personal Letter for a reason. Do you want to know the reason? Well, let me repeat it...." And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full."Friends, as Christians, we have Joy that Redeemed us, Joy that Refreshes us, Joy that Restores us, and Joy that Remains with us. Praise God for all those things that were written for our Real Joy!
