His Appearing 1 John 3:2 - “Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.” We know that He (Christ) shall appear! We know because the Word of God and Jesus Himself told us He is coming. What a day that is going to be!! Christ is going to appear! We shall see Him as He is! Are you looking for and anticipating His appearing? Titus 2:13 - “Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;” The appearing of Jesus Christ is our “blessed hope”. This blessed hope is not a wishful thought but an expected reality! This very truth is what I look to by faith that keeps me going in my hardest days! Suppose you are in a trial of your faith and the devil whispers in your ear, “why go on, what’s the use”. But suddenly your faith catches hold of the truth that one day, maybe today, He whom you love and have rested your faith in, will appear! Your faith takes hold of the blessed hope and gives reason for your heart to rejoice! 1 Peter 1:7 says, “That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:” There have been a few days in my Christian life in which I walked outside, looked up to heaven, and said, “Even so, come, Lord Jesus.” (Revelation 22:20) Do you love the doctrinal truth of His appearing? 2 Timothy 4:8 - “Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.” Dear Christian let your faith grab hold of the truth - Jesus is going to appear! Maybe today!
