The Bible Study –
Our texts for Thursday, March 14 are Genesis 45:1-20, 24-28 & Mark 13:1-23.
God’s plan of salvation has, for a time, meant challenges and even heartache for faithful Joseph.
Yet this man once sold into slavery is now a leader in Egypt.
He realizes God’s plan was designed to save, that good was worked by God through his brothers’ evil actions.
A remnant of God’s people will survive and even thrive during a time of famine.
As the Apostle Paul explained, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28)
In our passage from Mark, Christ warns the disciples of coming trials and difficulties.
Yet through their efforts the life-saving Gospel will be proclaimed.
When you face opposition for being a Christian, remember that Jesus will stand with His faithful through persecutions.
Our strength and hope are in our crucified and resurrected Lord, the Saviour of the world.
