I started on this yesterday. It's a free pattern I found online and it just spoke to me... making it for my DIL, they started raising chickens this year and she likes my scrappy projects. I think it will be a wall hanging, it's pretty small so far. I was going to do needle turn applique, but trying to turn all those curves on the top combs.... nope. I dug out the heatnbond lite and hand stitching the edges. I love when I can make something fun with materials I already have. The challenge right now is figuring out what to hang it with.
