I was reminded this morning by a friend that 2020 is the 100 year anniversary of the 19th Amendment to the Constitution where women were given the right to vote. I had forgotten this tidbit and monumental piece of history and I am surprised that with all the call to Civil Rights and equality that this was not celebrated more this year. This is actually modern history - not something long long ago (even though 2019 feels like it was 100 years ago). So thank you to those women who radically stepped out of their roles and demanded equal rights to vote!
