Sweet Meditation "My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the LORD." (Psalm 104:34)The Bible teaches us here that our meditation of God brings great profit to our being. We quickly discover from this verse that there is a sweet aroma in meditation with the Lord that perfumes our souls with gladness. The average Christian today spends more time mourning over their past than they do meditating on His promises. Spurgeon said, "The more you read the Bible, the more you will meditate on it, and the more you meditate on it, the more you'll be astonished with it."Friends, I can't help but believe that the reason many Christians today come away so cold from reading the Word of God is because they do not warm ourselves before and after at the fire of meditation.
