Many people have said, being a Christian is about having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. This story i heard from J Vernon McGee on the radio this morning illustrates it so well. A mother open her daughter's bedroom door to check on her before bed and asked her if she had said her prayers. The little girl said "well kind of." The mother asked her what she meant and the girl responded that she got down on her knees and started to pray but thought that God had heard the prayer that her mother had taught her so many times that she decided to climb back in bed and tell him the story of the 3 bears.Dr. McGee said he thinks God enjoyed the story...and I whole heartedly agree. That, my friends, is a relationship.
