Ephesians 3:17 (KJV) “That Christ may DWELL in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,”
"DWELL' in YOUR HEART: The are many Great Biblical Truths: Creation, Noah and the Flood, David and Goliath, Jonah and the Whale, Virgin Birth of Jesus, The Crucifixion and this truth: Jesus dwells in the hearts of all who believe the Gospel.
He dwells, which means more than he just inhabits your heart.
To 'dwell' means to take up resident and to live there. To be your mediator between you and the Father. Now, does he 'dwell' in your heart or do you only have 'head' knowledge of who, and what he has done.
You see, the devils know who Jesus is and what he has done, but that knowledge isn't what saves.
The Gospel of Salvation is that Jesus died for you, was buried and arose again 1 Corinthians 15:
Verse 1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you THE gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
Vs 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, UNLESS ye have believed in vain.
Vs 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
Vs 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
You can believe in 'vain' which means you only know of him and of his deeds, but you never 'believed' the gospel which shows since there are no changes in your life.
I pray that Christ 'dwells' in your heart and is not just informative facts that you rely on when things get tough.
