2 Corinthians 13:5 - Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?EXAMINE YOURSELF: Examination is easy as long as you HAVE a standard to measure yourself. That standard is the Holy Scriptures: The Bible and yes, the King James Bible is still the Standard. Now, self-examination is easy as long as you ALLOW the scriptures to be the ruling thought, which means scriptures must over ride your personal thoughts and ideas.Many will 'think' they are saved since they see themselves in 'ways' that contradict the standard: the Holy Scriptures.This is where many will struggle. I often hear: "I think", which means that person has already presume that they know more than God. Now, it's important to let God's Word to CORRECT your thoughts and if not, then you will make the mistake of 'thinking' you are right with God when the scriptures will show you the opposite.If you are depending on any of these reasons, as mentioned in the pic, then you are presuming to know more than the Scriptures which also means you have yet to submit yourself to God's authority.
