I just joined the FB group today, but want to get away from that platform. Glad this group is here. Anyway, my husband and I bought an acreage in rural Martin county in February. We are working with the county to get all our steps ordered. We would like to do as much of the hands-on work we are legally allowed. Will be paying cash as we go. Our build will be an 1100 sq ft "stilt" house elevated 9' to the first floor. For now we are only allowed to cut down invasive exotics, namely Aussie pines and Brazillian peppers.
