Isaiah 55:2 (KJV) Wherefore do ye spend money for [that which is] not bread? and your labour for [that which] satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye [that which is] good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.SPEND MONEY: Where and on what do you spend your money?Is it always on pleasures, gadgets, trinkets and travels?Have you ever invested in the souls of the lost here in America or on the foreign fields where they've never even heard the Gospel?One day you will stand before God to give an account of your stewardship. Each Christian has a responsibility to invest their God given wealth into the work of God for the church and getting the gospel to others.For some it is a sacrifice to be able to budget a few dollars.For others you only need to give up some wasteful spending and divert those funds to missions.Then there are those who enjoy great wealth, but will they build treasures in heaven or only here on earth?Which ever the case, God expects each Christian to be involved in sending the gospel to the lost!When you do, you’ve laid up treasures for yourself in eternity:Matthew 6:19 (KJV) Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:Matthew 6:20 (KJV) But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: Now, don't tell me you love God, but NEVER give !To give is the demonstration of love. God 'gave' us he 'only' Son which is more valuable then money itself. God will not ask you to sacrifice your son, but he will ask you to give of your wealth, no matter how small or great.Give that others might know the Saviour and don't make excuses as to why you can't but purpose to give because you Love God.
