Proverbs 14:8 (KJV) The wisdom of the prudent [is] to understand his way: but the folly of fools [is] deceit.FOLLY: Sin can be identity as folly and folly is usually fun and entertaining. That’s the problem with sin and folly: It’s fun until sin catches up with you and you have to face the shame of your folly. The sinful person is usually afraid when God exposes their folly but then the person, who has been living a lie, has a choice to make: Repentance or Cover-up!To repent is not just to feel bad about your folly but to change your views/thoughts about your sinfulness which becomes a move to God's law about your sin. Once you repent you’ve changed your direction towards God which moves you away from your sin so that you won't repeat your sin again and again. If you are still locked in an unrelenting cycle of repetitive folly then that's a sure sign you've never repented or seen the need to surrender to God. Therefore, those who are only sad/tearful/disturbed about their folly are those who are only troubled that they was caught in sin. This person will begin a long life of cover-up, lies, deceits, bitterness, hatred, anger, fights, and a life given over too delusional thoughts as the sin of deceitfulness and folly assassinates their life. Change only happens when you are broken over your sin/folly. Brokenness comes from understanding what God says about folly, sin and for being a fool with your sinfulness. Most might shed a tear or two to appear broken so that others will feel for them so that they can appear as a ‘victim’ of sin.Once you truly see or understand your sinfulness then God can ALLOW you to have repentance. When you only make EXCUSES for your sin then God will NEVER grant you repentance so that you can see your delusions of folly.REPENTANCE IS GIVEN - 2 Timothy 2:25 (KJV) - In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
