NO MAN GAVE UNTO HIM "And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him." (Luke 15:16) While it can be preached that "no man gave unto him" is a bad thing that speaks of a selfish and uncaring world, it remains true that this man likely would have not repented and returned to his father, if people HAD given unto him! It was necessary that he come to the end of himself so that he might see the hopelessness of his situation and change his direction. So, before "helping" the less fortunate OUT of their circumstances, it might be wise to always consider that God could be using those very circumstances to humble them and change their hearts. May we pray and find the wisdom to respond with a righteous balance, lest we interfere with God's working and do more harm than good.
