1 Peter 2:24“Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.”ON THE TREE: Who bore your sins? You or God?Who was 'dead to sins'? You or God?By whose 'stripes' were you healed? Yours or God?To grant yourself a part in your salvation is to make 'war' with God's word, plan and deity.Only the 'Son of God' can atone for Sin.Only the 'Saviour' has the attributes needed for salvation.Only His death can bring life to others.You cannot contribute to your salvation.WORKS: They come 'after' salvation and never before salvation.Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus UNTO good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. 1st: Salvation is 'created' in Christ Jesus, not 'by' you.2nd: After salvation, 'good works' are to follow, not to help in salvation. Works are for the purpose that we should 'walk' in them which means as the creation of God you have a 'new' walk that differs from the 'old' life. The devil loves to tamper with this doctrine so that he can't get your eyes off of the 'Saviour' and fixed on yourself as if you are worthy to be part of your salvation.You are NOT worthy, you are not capable, you do not possess 'self-righteousness' to even be able to contribute to your salvation.There is ONLY 'one' Saviour, not two.There is ONLY 'one' who is died on the cross. There is ONLY 'one' way to heaven (John 14:6). Now, If you are attempting to 'earn' salvation then you've been deceived by the Devil who desires you to think like he did when he was 'kicked' out of heaven for believing he could achieve what only God can achieve.Lucifer wanted all eyes on him (pride) and his works in heaven instead of being on God and His sovereign rule in heaven.Now, don't tell my you love God while trying to divert eyes from God to yourself with your religious thoughts/teachings/works.It matters to God as demonstrated by 'kicking' Lucifer out of heaven and changing him from an Angel to a devil.God will not 'share' his glory, salvation, deity, purposes, or work of salvation with any persons, devil, church or religious organization.Pride will make you THINK you can contribute to your salvation and that prideful thought of being co-saviour makes war with God.
