When we interact with one another, the last thing that we should every consider resorting to is anger and any negative reaction. When it comes to conflict or disagreements we are to be like Jesus - who set the example for us. We are too be quick to listen to all sides of the story, slow to comment on what we think, and even slower to anger. When we act like this we allow our emotions to calm down and we make way for wise reasoning. If you act impulsively, you will end up saying and doing things that you will definitely regret.
The anger of any man does not bring any pleasure to God. Good things do not come from wrath – which is a deep and vengeful anger. This is the type of anger that causes someone to murder someone else. This is also the type of anger that leads to great sorrow and regret. If you find yourself at odds with someone else, take a step back and allow yourself to calm down. In doing so, you will be putting your flesh under subjection and choosing to follow God’s guidance on how to solve a heated situation.
If more people followed the leading of the Holy Spirit, instead of their egos and
their tempers, there would be more peaceful solutions to heated situations. Acting on your rage will rarely ever work out for any good. Inflicting harm on one another will be inevitable.
Choose to lay aside all anger, and any unclean behavior, and choose to treat everyone with love, meekness, and humility. That will be far more rewarding than trying to bulldoze someone into getting your own way.
No good ever comes from trying to live your life with a heart full of rage. There is a higher and much better way – the way of Christ.
