1 Corinthians 9:16 For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel! PREACH: I'm not called to preach 'pleasing ideas' to your itching ears, but I'm called to preach the GOSPEL which starts out with preaching on your SINFULNESS with the need of the Saviour.Until you see yourself as rotten sinner you will never see yourself as in need for the Saviour.After you see your need for Him then accepting the Saviour means to accept 'what' he did as your Saviour.In other words, what He did was to die for you, then He was buried, but then He arose (Resurrection) from the dead which means He is victor over the grave and our sins that put him there.His work at Calvary is what saves and there is nothing you can ever do that equals 'what' he accomplished at Calvary.Now, you can 'know' all that I've written and still go to Hell.Understanding the Gospel is not the same as 'believing' the Gospel.Once you repent (change of direction) or turn to God, then your life changes. You will have desires that differ from the old desires.Church will be a joy, your Bible reading will be a joy, your fellowship with other Christians will be a joy and your desires for the old be gone since you have the New.Now, if you have no 'joy' or still given to your sinfulness, BEWARE that you didn't just collect Bible knowledge concerning Jesus instead of actually repenting and knowing Jesus as your personal Saviour.
