Salvation is not a process.It happened at Calvary and not at your church or with your personal life.Only Jesus could be 'made' sin for you.Only Jesus could 'atone' for your sin.Only Jesus could 'die' for you so that you could have the 'gift' of life ==> Romans 5:15 - But not as the offence, so also is the FREE gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the GIFT BY grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many ==> It's a 'gift by' grace, not a debt you owe in order to achieve salvation through your religious services/works towards God. If you were allowed to 'assist' in your salvation then that would make you co-Saviour. Now, that is something you can never be since that would make you his equal. Salvation is fully accomplished by him since only he could be 'made' sin for you.If you think you can equal or achieve salvation then you've fallen from GRACE:Galatians 5:4 - Christ is become of NO EFFECT unto you, whosoever of you are justified BY the law; ye are FALLEN from grace.
