Total snow accumulations between 6 and 12 inches possible, with the highest amounts in the Fox Valley and lakeshore areas. Winds could gust in excess of 45 mph, especially in the Fox Valley and lakeshore areas, where considerable blowing and drifting snow and near-blizzard conditions are possible. Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Widespread blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility, and result in near-blizzard conditions in the Fox Valley and lakeshore areas. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday morning and evening commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches, and cause power outages.
