HB 393 went into effect back on September 1, 2023, but it appears to be only getting increased attention now as it has effected enough people in Texas and those from "out of state" who are finding themselves subject to it. Those now complaining about it are primarily "migrants" from California, Illinois, New York and other Democrat-run States. Go figure!
