Finished our Christmas gift for our friend Fr. Rojas, who will be having a yummy Puerto Rican Christmas dinner with us. Two layers of 6mm birch wood. The back engraved with an Ancient Greek icon of Mary and Jesus, then stained with Old American wood stain. The front piece intricately cut out and painted with hammered gold then affixed to the icon to bring more focus to Mother and Child.
