27 This means that all of creation will be shaken and removed, so that only unshakable things will remain.
28 Since we are receiving a Kingdom that is unshakable, let us be thankful and please God by worshiping him with holy fear and awe. 29 For our God is a devouring fire.
--- Hebrews 12:27-29 NLT
Eventually the world will crumble, and only God’s Kingdom will last. Those who follow Christ are part of this unshakable Kingdom, and they will withstand the shaking, sifting, and burning. When we feel unsure about the future, we can take confidence from these verses. No matter what happens here, our future is built on a solid foundation that cannot be destroyed. Don’t put your confidence in what will be destroyed; instead, build your life on Christ and his unshakable Kingdom. (See Matthew 7:24-27 for the importance of building on a solid foundation.)

PRAYER
Dear Lord,
Thank You, Lord, that You call me Your own.
Thank You for the everlasting inheritance promised.
Let me worship You with reverence and awe because You are a consuming fire, King of kings, Lord of lords.
I know my temporary home may be shaking but my soon-to-be permanent home can not be shaken, standing as firm as ever.
I humble myself and receive Your unshakable kingdom where nothing can separate me from You.
There will be no turmoil, disaster, war, death and illness.
Father, I offer You my gratitude and praise, giving up myself for Your service.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
