"Going in the Strength of the Lord" "I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD: I will make mention of thy righteousness, even of thine only.O God, thou hast taught me from my youth: and hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works.Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not; until I have shewed thy strength unto this generation, and thy power to every one that is to come. (Psalm 71:16-18)Our own weaknesses will many times disappoint us, but God’s strength is offered to us; for in His strength, we work. As we age, will still have duties to perform, dangers to encounter, and difficulties to overcome; let us therefore go in the strength of the Lord.His strength is promised to each of us and may be gladly received by us; but we must ask it of God, we must expect it by faith, and we trust that He is faithful who hath promised.Never let us attempt anything in our own strength; if we do, we will be sure to fail. First and foremost, let us take God at His word, rely on His strength, and go forth to battle fighting the good fight of faith. That's when we realized that the battle is not ours, but the Lord’s; and Praise God, we are confident because we are assured of victory.Friends, the Lord is indeed our strength and song. He is our Rock. Therefore, being our Redeemer, we know Him to be our refuge to flee to and the rest to freshen us. His strength is made perfect in our weaknesses, and His grace will be glorified in each of us.
