A lesson learned. With Apologies to Smokey the Bear, I relate this tale.Yesterday afternoon, I cleaned out the fireplace, and as is practice, I put the ashes in the fire pit outside for later use in the compost mix. Several hours later, as I stepped outside, I was met with this little blaze.We had quite a bit of rain over the last few days so everything was good 'n wet, and there is a good 40' of clearence around the fire pit, but still....It don't take but one hot coal. Only you can prevent forest fires.?
