With outside temps in the thirties last night, the SC3 Wheel of Fortune was spinning at Warp speed, as the oil heater in the kennel kept the dogs and the cat that thinks it is a dog toasty warm all night. Inside the ranch, I banked the fire before retiring and we were toasty warm too.
Morning Coffee, Evangeline.
Gavin the Grinch is officially in 14-day Quarantine for Covid. One of his CHP security guards and his two children tested positive yesterday. What remains to be seen is how many rules the Elitist SOB will bend or ignore to his benefit. Taking bets?
Word on the street this morning, the neighborhood Shakey's Pizza is slamming doors shut. Thank you Grubbinor Nuisance. From my distant past, Photo of a very famous Shakey's.
Cooked up a batch of Prime Beef Udon for Mrs. M's dinner last night. Feeling guilty. For the first time in 40 years, I forgot our Anniversary. Ima Baaaaaaad boy. ??. ICRS anymore.
Trekked down to the cellar and dusted off several bottles of Quarantine Pinot Noir '17, for, appropriately, anti-quarantine Thanksgiving dinner. Cracked one for myself and Mrs. M. To savor over the Udon, it is aging well, and it paired nicely.
Anyone have recommendations for a good Apple Jack? Looking top off some Toddies post desert on Thursday.
Have a good Monday folk.

Turkey day is coming like a runaway train, and the fate of the annual gathering of the family around the bountiful table is still dangling in the air. Thanks to the ever-changing battery of Goobernatorial edicts. The numbers have changed daily, and the curfew is going to be selectively enforced, depending on the district/city/county you lived in or transit through. Probably going to throw caution to the wind.
Rumor has it that the Grinch is having difficulty deciding which restaurant in which to ignore his own rules for Turkey day.
The Liberator.
I am not enamored with the live-action animation and filter BS, I don't see the point of it, and It adds absolutely nothing, in fact, it is downright irritating. Give this one a couple episodes for your own filters to kick in. Then, with that aside, the story is riveting.
As seen through the eyes of Lt Col Felix Sparks, it is a Band of Brothers/Longest Day/Bridge too far factual story. It follows E Co.157th combat regiment, comprised of Apache, Seminole, Cherokee, Sioux, Choctaw, and Mexican Americans, through their combat trials in North Africa, Italy, and Europe.
I am not a Binge Meister, but as I did, You will want to binge this too.

Sat to watch S2 E3 of Mandalorian last night, not one of the best, certainly a filler, but the highlight was the introduction of Katee Sackhoff as Bo-Katan Kryze. Another certain ally in the Mandalorian's quest.
Gavin the Grinch is apparently feeling the heat and has re-defined his Semi-lockdown rules, which now, completely make no sense at all.
You can gather in large numbers at churches, and no surprise, Wineries but not in your home. You must wear a mask at all times, when out of doors, but not in your car at the drive-through but you must wear a mask in restaurants when not actually eating or drinking On and on and on. Of course, none of this applies to the governor or his family and friends. But If You fail to comply with these nothing but confusing edicts you will be subject to fines, accumulative to $20,000, or jail where you don't need a mask.
This just proves My Governor is an idiot.
Yesterday, Walter the Golden Retriever was back home with his Huuuumaan in New Hampshire after a year on the lam in the Missouri woods. Walter slipped his leash while visiting family in Arnold Missouri for the Thanksgiving holiday, and had been missing since then. The Subject of the Where's Walter FB page and a year-long search, Walter was spotted several times but slipped away. He finally surrendered (well actually trapped) this past Friday the 13th to the Lost Paws ? organization, and was reunited that evening with his Huuuumaan. Happy Day!
On the menu for tonight, BBQ B&B Burgers Steak Fries, ColdSlaw, and Dr. Pepper BBQ beans. Oh, and San Miguel Cerveza Negra. With no masks.
Stay Safe, keep a sharp eye for Gavin's Covid Police.
Good Day
