Hebrews 4:12 - For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. SWORD: The word of God is sharper than any two-edged sword which means no matter how stubborn, foolish, or sinful your thinking or actions are, God's word can cut it away so that you can see the Glory of God. Therefore, The Word of God serves various purposes: doctrine, correction and instruction, which helps you to SEE what God has intended for those who are saved or 'Born Again':Ephesians 1:18 - The EYES of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, The Word of God also serves as a purpose to show the lost, those who are not saved, what will happen to them for NOT believing: Revelation 21:8 - But the fearful, and UNBELIEVING, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with FIRE and brimstone: which is the second death.
