"Heavenly Help for Firm Footing" "I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber." (Psalm 121:1-3)This 121st Psalm is a short, yet soothing reminder of God's enduring protection and care. No matter the height of the mountains we face in life, our help comes from the Lord, the Almighty Creator.Whether we are under the blazing heat of life's daily challenges or in the cold uncertainty of the night, He never slumbers nor sleeps but constantly guards and guides us. This divine promise is our beacon of hope, inspiring us to tread life's trail of trials with faith and courage.Oh, what a tremendous promise for those who've often wondered if they can make any progress as they sojourn in this sinful society filled with its gloom and doom. To the many who are fearful of stumbling; a word of surety echoes from Halls of Heaven, "He will not suffer thy foot to be moved."Now folks, if the Lord of Glory will not suffer thy foot to be moved, then neither can any member of the human race nor the demons of Hell do it! The devil, with his long and lying tongue, would like nothing better than to rejoice with his army of fallen angels if they could lead us down that lane of a disgraceful fall. Their one desire is to drive us far from God's Word, dig a grave, and then bury the memories of our good works for Christ.Friends, with the many pitfalls and potholes on that path which each of us plod, no Child of God could stand fast for one brief moment unless they anchor their faith upon the Rock of one of the most sublime guarantees of Scripture, "He will not suffer thy foot to be moved."
