I ordered two new colors from Daniel Smith yesterday and two new detail brushes. One paint was an old standby, Alizarin Crimson and the other was a new one for me, Duochrome Oceanic, arriving today! . I am not a great fan of shiny glittery paint, but Duochrome Oceanic just called to me for some reason. Maybe I need to add it as an accent in some of my landscapes or florals. When it arrives, I will see. Many of the DS Primatek colors have bits of sparkle that can be seen in certain lights, but this is a different puppy altogether! My new brushes are for fine detail work. I was sadly lacking in this area. I only had one detail brush-a Windsor & Newton 3/0. I will use these mainly with notecards and smaller miniature paintings. Anyway, here is something I did last night on a watercolor postcard. Writing ink. I love that bright blue color. Very abstract. I see surfboards, or airplanes. What about you?
