Galatians 3:19 (KJV) Wherefore then [serveth] the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; [and it was] ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.THE LAW: The Law of Moses ‘served’ for one purpose and was needed ‘till’ the seed (Jesus Christ) should come. The Law was a schoolmaster but not a means for salvation. This was why the Pharisees stumbled: Romans 9:32 (KJV) Wherefore? Because [they sought it] NOT by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone;FAITH: It opens the door to understanding the doctrine of salvation and in actually possessing salvation. THE LAW: I’m “delivered from the law” NOT “to the law” - Romans 7:6 (KJV) But now we are DELIVERED from the law, that being dead wherein we WERE held; that we should SERVE in newness of spirit, and NOT [in] the oldness of the letter.If you are still serving in the ‘oldness’ of the letter, then you are a modern day Pharisee.
