If you think or believe that these books are ‘old’ in the sense of being finished and of no purpose since there is now the New Testament, then your Bible teacher is clueless when it comes to proper interpretation of the scriptures. There are hundreds of verses, just like this, that show God isn’t finished with Israel. God made covenant promises to Israel and God cannot go back of his promises to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and David. Psalm 105:8 (KJV) He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word [which] he commanded to a thousand generations.Though Israel is being punished by God for forsaking The LORD as their Salvation, he has promised to remember them:Zechariah 10:9 (KJV) And I will sow them among the people: and they shall REMEMBER me in far countries; and they shall live with their children, and TURN AGAIN.
