Today is Leif Ericsson Day. At least it is in Scandinavia, particularly Norway and Iceland.This is a statue of Leif Ericsson that is in front of the Hallgrimmskirjka Cathedral in Reykjavik, Iceland. The statue was a gift from the USA to Iceland, in 1930, on the 1,000 anniversary of the formation of their government. The oldest in the world.
