Matthew 27:3 (KJV) Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,REPENTED: When you fail to understand repentance you will be just like Judas, you will feel bad about betrayal but not bad enough to repent God’s way.Many lost people will ‘turn’ from their sin but never ‘turn’ to God. Many a lost person has given up certain sins but that isn’t repentance. Repentance is ‘turning’ to God and his righteousness which produces a different outcome. When a person turns to God, God takes over and leads them away from a life of poor decisions to a life of allowing God to direct in your decisions. Hell is full of sinners who repented of their sin but never turned to God. 2 Timothy 2:25 (KJV) In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will GIVE THEM repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;REPENTANCE IS GIVEN TO YOU BY GOD TO THE ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF THE TRUTH WHICH MEANS IF YOU ARE STILL LYING ABOUT YOUR SIN, GOD STILL HASN’T GRANTED YOU THE GIFT OF REPENTANCE.
