"He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber." (Psalm 121:3)What a tremendous promise for those who often wonder if they can make any progress as they journey along in this wicked world filled with its gloom and doom. To the many who are fearful of stumbling; a sure word of promise from above is given, "He will not suffer thy foot to be moved:" Now folks, if the Lord of Glory will not suffer thy foot to be moved, then neither can any man nor all the demons of Hell do it! The devil, with his long and lying tongue, would like nothing better than to rejoice and laugh it up with his army of fallen angels if they could but lead us down that lane of a disgraceful fall. Their one desire is to drive us far from God's Word and work and then bury the memories of our good works for Christ. The demons can and do all they want to because their wicked hearts beat with the intent to trip us up with their tricks. They want our life to be one of tragedy instead of triumph. Nevertheless, we have the promise from Scripture that when our heart is planted faithfully in God's Word, we will not be moved by their taunts.Friends, with the many pitfalls and snares that surround us causing us to possibly stumble and fall, no child of God could stand safely for one brief second unless they anchor their faith in the One Who never sleeps nor slumbers and Who declares one of His own sweetest guarantees "He will not suffer thy foot to be moved:"
