I Cor. 2:14 “The natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God… because they are not spiritually discerned.” So where does superior wisdom come from? It comes from the Holy Spirit, who illumines and enlightens. I have attended 4 seminaries and graduated from 3 and 2 colleges. I can honestly say those who have walked with the Lord and really know God have much more discernment about spiritual things despite their formal education drawbacks than those unbelieving teachers or believing teachers who knew about God and the Bible but did not really know Him the way some spiritual saints I know knew Him. You see, spiritual wisdom is greater than worldly wisdom. The wisdom God gives is more than just knowledge. The cults know the Bible, but many of our cherished beliefs are foolish to them because they do not know God. This is why I must bathe my mind daily with God's Word through scripture memory and Bible reading. I must let God apply His truth to my life and enjoy His presence in my life for me to have spiritual wisdom and discernment. This is the type of leaders we need in the church, in our country in elected office: Those with spiritual wisdom and discernment. Oh, but it needs to be completed today. A zeal to know God better and better and do whatever it takes to give you this type of wisdom and discernment is what it takes because we are in His presence constantly.
