As you may have heard, Elon Musk plans to bring Twitter / X into a “closed” environment, charging every user a monthly subscription fee to access the platform. This will lead Twitter / X users to leave the platform in droves, for Wimkin's free tier. Musk has already infuriated Conservatives when he hired then NBC Universal head, Linda Yaccarino, as Twitter / X’s new CEO. Known as a censorship queen, Yaccarino was hired to mend the failed relationship with X advertisers that crippled the platform financially, by getting Musk to restrict user content. Musk further infuriated users when he offered “Pay for Verification” and the Blue Checkmark to anyone willing to pay for such, leaving the platform open to innumerable impersonation scams. Add all of this to the fact Wimkin actually has far more features than X (live streaming, hours long video uploads, video chat, groups, pages, marketplace, etc) and a free membership, hold onto your hats! We’re about to grow exponentially.
