Hello: To address the pushback we've received for our plans to convert to a friends only feed in order to bring more users here, bring more influencers here, get each user further interaction on their posted content as well as bring down the enormous resources and costs associated with a wide open platform instead of a "Friends and Followers Only" platform like all other platforms are, we will be making changes to give users options and control, effective 10/1/23.Due to the mass amount of users Wimkin has with an open feed where users see everything being posted instead of posts by whom they are friends with or follow, our feed moves far too quickly and posts aren't being seen. This has many influencers say "NO" to joining us. Furthermore, having an open feed also is incredibly heavy on infrastructure resources and costs, and our platform monthly bills now exceed $20,000.00 per month. As such, the following will be implemented on 10/1/23:MEMBERSHIP TIERSWimkin will now be offering memberships that are feature based. Those memberships and what each offers, are as follows: FREE MEMBERSHIP: This tier will see content posted by friends only, as well as content posted in groups they belong to, and content posted by pages they like. In addition, this group will see Ads, have a limit of 10 minutes per live stream creations, and have a video upload limit of 200MB per video.AD-FREE: This tier will enjoy all contained within the Free Membership without seeing ads, for a monthly fee of $1.99. SUBSCRIBER: This tier will receive an ad-free experience, FULL FEED access to all user posted content including influencers, groups and pages, a 10GB video upload limit, and a 30 minute limit on their created live streams. $9.99 per month.VERIFIED SUBSCRIBER PLUS: This tier will receive an ad-free experience, the freedom to choose at any given moment whether they want to see all posts by all users including influencers or from friends only, groups and pages, a 20GB video upload limit, a 60 minute limit on all created live streams, and a verified profile icon. $15.00 per month. STREAMER PROFESSIONAL: This tier receives all of the features and freedom of the above packages plus a 3-hour limit on their created live streams and a 100GB video upload limit. Designed for podcasters, this is less than 10% of the cost for the same at Rumble. $99.00 per month.SHAREHOLDERS: Full and unlimited platform access.*** All users in all groups will still have access to messenger, video chat and voice calling. Anyone that has been ad-free or a monthly supporter, will be converted to the appropriate tier above under a legacy membership.Again, we will be implementing these changes on 10/1/23 so you have time to choose what you'd like to see here, and what features you'd enjoy most. I will be posting instructions on how to upgrade your membership within the app, as well as on the web version. It will be very simple; just a few clicks. By offering these options, we are providing a chance for every user to get what they want. Other platforms charge a fee to subscribe to singular influencers or channels. I added up 3 people that I'd like to subscribe to on X, and that fee would come to $28.00 per month alone, for access to THREE USERS' CONTENT. Here, you get access to all for $9.99 or $15.00 a month, depending on what tier you choose. In addition, by offering these packages, we can offset costs.I cannot continue to pay $20,000.00 + per month for users to see everyone's content. If you'd like that option, it will now be a paid feature. In addition, just like Streaming pro's pay for access to Rumble's services (up to $1,000.00 per month for the same we're offering here) this will now be a paid feature starting 10/1/23.
