Hello all! We have thousands of new members here so I want to give them a brief history, stress to them our three simple rules, and to address those that challenge the very broad and generic definitions of "free speech." Wimkin just hit our three year anniversary of existence. During our first 4 months as a platform, we were banned from Apple and Google Play due to being blamed for the "insurrection" based on a total of 9 posts the app stores took offense to. We were #1 on both stores in terms of popularity when we were deplatformed. We fought them legally for nearly nine months and overturned those bans (which resulted in six figure legal fees just to bring you this platform.) We've suffered far more bans and cancelations due to our stance on free speech that greatly affect our ability to run our business and bring you this platform. Those bans are as follows:* Big Tech email providers still block our platform emails and password resets;* Capital One canceled 2 banking accounts and one credit account. * American Express canceled our business credit account. * PayPal banned us, and me personally for life but I'm fine with that because our values do not align;* Twitter banned me personally and our Wimkin platform account with 700k followers; * Facebook removed 3 Wimkin pages that we used for FREE promotion of Wimkin;* Ad providers will not serve ads here and let us earn income (Admob, Adsense, Taboola and others);* Our first server provider canceled us;and so much more! The main "kicker" was the House Select Committee on January Sixth and the USDOJ attempting to have us shutdown (see below) and demanding all information that we had on every user (you). We did not comply and I can't even stomach what our pushback against Congress and the USDOJ cost in terms of legal fees and other personal sacrifices. Quite frankly, I will not go through any of this again nor allow this platform to be put at risk due to some bad actors posting threats of violence and posts that go against our three simple rules: 1) No pornography;2) No nudity;3) No posts with a criminal element including selling drugs, illegal weapons, and posts threatening others or inciting violence.We have built you a true free speech haven where you can freely and openly share your opinions that go against big tech narratives and that would get you kicked off of all other platforms. We provide you the very same that Facebook, X, YouTube and TikTok provide you, combined. No other platform that claims to offer free speech gives you all of the features you need to disseminate your content and to be heard. Nobody has given up more, fought harder for free speech and their platform users to be heard than myself. That, I can assure you. If you cannot agree to these three simple rules, you are against free speech and do not belong on this fabulous platform. I understand people are upset and frustrated by their past experiences on Social Media but WE ARE NOT THEM. You will be fine here if you do not violate our three simple rules. Let's continue to grow the platform the right ways and better our country and the world through the freedom to express yourselves through this platform. Thank you.
