Service Merchandise was a company that had zero theft loss by shoplifters.. All their merchandise was stored in an non accessible area... Their displays had tags , if you wanted an item or 30 different items , you took the tags to the checkout & paid... Then you picked up you items by presenting your receipt at the fulfillment counter.. Unless they start arresting & prosecuting shoplifters , this might be the future for us all..
