Former Minneapolis Police Officer Ty Raymond Jindra, 28, was taken into custody yesterday and charged, in an 11-count federal indictment, with acquiring controlled substances by deception, extortion under color of official right, and deprivation of rights under color of law.According to the allegations in the indictment, from Sept. 2017 through Oct. 2019, Jindra abused his position in order to obtain methamphetamine, heroin, oxycodone, cocaine, and other drugs by deception, extortion, and conducting unconstitutional searches and seizures.Read more from the U.S. Department of Justice:justice.gov/usao-mn/pr/former-minneapolis-police-officer-charged-illegally-acquiring-controlled-substances
