Due to an illness that I contracted at Basic training and I had it for months, I lost my PRP - Personal Reliabilty status to handle Nuclear Weapons and weapons in general. So I was reclassified into Personal. During my wait to be reclassified I Worked at the ARPC - Air Reserve Personnel Center. I worked in the area where I put documents on microfische. I used my TS quite a bit here. I did assignment work for the reserve Personnel also. I waited for a few months then went to Keesler AFB MS.73230 - Personnel Specialist. After Keelser AFB MS I was assigned back to Lowry AFB CO. I worked in Student Assignments, Performance reports area (APR/OER), Student Assignments- Since we were a training base, Special Actions. I typed orders, did passports, got security clearances, reviewed performance reports, etc. During my time there I was on the Disaster Preparadness Team (Close to 4 Years) - In this Special Duty, in a real world situation , you would be the first person out to assess the situation. Is there a Bomb, what to do, is there a toxic agent in the air, what to do etc. Aircraft down, some one with explosives on them anything that could be a danger to the military personel , dependents and civilians on the base. When through the Decon and reported my findings to the Base Commander and or representatives. I did Pallet Loading on C-5s at Buckley Field in Colorado.
