On the really frosty cold nights, you can stop the heat from escaping, saving money on your heating bills by a homemade ventilator cover. I made a removable ventilator cover by silicon baking sheets and velcro. I superglued some velcro on to the silicone sheet and stuck the other side of the velcro to the wall. Just detach the velcro when you want to take it off for ventilation. (Please note, if it's in a room with the boiler, make sure you have a carbon monoxide alarm and take part of the cover off for most of the day) ?
