A gentle answer deflects anger, but harsh words make tempers flare. --- Proverbs 15:1 Have you ever tried to argue in a whisper? It is equally hard to argue with someone who insists on answering gently. On the other hand, a rising voice and harsh words almost always tigger an angry response. To turn away wrath and seek peace, choose gentle words. --- Life Application Bible Study notes PRAYER Heavenly Father, May Your Spirit fill us with gentleness. Kindness and encouragement. Teach me to watch my words. May I use soft words even in times of anger and frustration. Help me not to promote anger and bitterness ending up with harsh words but allow me to use kind and gentle words. Guard our speech from gossip, slander and defamation. Please forgive me when I fail and help me to improve. May my language reflect Your gracious words and may I only say things that I can honor Your name. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen
