“Here there is not Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, slave and free; but Christ is all and in all.” --- Colossians 3:11 The Christian church should have no barriers of nationality, race, educational level, social standing, wealth, gender, religion, or power. Christ breaks down all barriers and accepts all people who come to him. Nothing should keep us from telling others about Christ or accepting into our fellowship any and all believers (Ephesians 2:14-15). Christians should be building bridges, not walls. --- Life Application Study Bible notes Heavenly Father, You instruct us to clothe ourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Addition to these virtues, You ask us also to clothe ourselves in love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Father, we acknowledge that we are not good at unity. Many nations are divided, right and wrong and them and us. You show us perfect unity in being three in one - God the Father, Jesus Christ the blessed Son, and the Holy Spirit. Father, we ask for unity and healing for our nations, within our leaders, our communities, our families. We pray for healing within each one of us. Restore us spiritually, physically, emotionally, mentally and socially. In Jesus’ name, I pray.
