IS BIBLE PROPHECY ALWAYS ACCURATE? Absolutely. In fact, 100% accuracy is one of the marks of Bible prophecy (Deu. 18:22). There are many prophecies that await fulfillment, but a great many others have already been fulfilled. The prophecies concerning the first coming of Christ were all accurate, and there’s no justifiable reason for thinking that the second coming prophecies won’t be just as accurate. The following are just a few of the prophecies that were fulfilled at the first coming of Jesus the Messiah: (1) He would be born of a virgin (Isa. 7:14; Mat. 1:23).(2) He would be born in Bethlehem (Mic. 5:2; Mat. 2:5-6).(3) He would be born of the tribe of Judah (Gen. 49:10;Mat. 1:1-16)(4) He would be the Son of God (Psa. 2:7; John 3:16).(5) He would spend time in Egypt (Hos. 11:1; Mat. 2:14-15).(6) He would be a prophet (Deu. 18:15; Luke 24:19).(7) He would be betrayed (Psa. 41:9; John 13:18).(8.) He would be despised, rejected, and killed (Isa. 53;Acts 8:32-35).(9) His manner of death would be a crucifixion (Psa. 22:16;Mat. 27:35).(10) He would rise from the dead (Psa. 16:10; Acts 2:22-32). That’s less than ten percent of the Old Testament prophecies that were fulfilled at the first coming of Christ. The statistical probability of just these ten prophecies being fulfilled are incalculable for most people, yet the skeptics continue to question the reliability of Bible prophecy. Those who truly know the Bible never question it.
