If Christians make no effort to affect the world around them, they are of little value to God. If we are too much like the world, we are worthless. Christians should not blend in with everyone else. Instead, we should affect others positively, just as seasoning brings out the best flavor in food. --- Life Application Study Bible notes PRAYER Heavenly Father, Help me not to forget that I am Your beloved child, called, equipped, and empowered to be salt and light to the world and to love others as we have been loved. May I be Your preservative. Don’t let me lose my saltiness. Instead, give me boldness to speak Your truth into the lives of others.
