Did you know chapter and verse numbers were added by translators? They are helpful thats for sure. But since they were added by man there are mistakes. Here is an example. John 8:1-2 KJVJesus went unto the mount of Olives. [2] And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them. The translators began a new chapter right in the middle of a sentence. Look at the end of chapter 7.John 7:52-53 KJVThey answered and said unto him, Art thou also of Galilee? Search, and look: for out of Galilee ariseth no prophet. [53] And every man went unto his own house.John 8:1-2 KJVJesus went unto the mount of Olives. [2] And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.Does it make more sense like this...John 7:52-53 They answered and said unto him, Art thou also of Galilee? Search, and look: for out of Galilee ariseth no prophet. [53] And every man went unto his own house.Jesus went unto the mount of Olives. Chapter 8 begins early in the morning. [2] And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them. This kind of stuff is taught in "bible college" but not from the pulpit. Getting to know the integrity of the word is getting to know God.
