Heb. 11: 10 “For he waited for a city whose builder and maker is God”.(Everything you will accumulate in this life will not last forever and will all fade away or be passed on to someone else I Tim. 6:7. So anything Abraham would have gained materially, he would have had the same in Ur. But God was giving him a city that would be eternal. God built it, and it is eternal in the heavens. We cannot accumulate and hoard in this city. We send on that which is eternal in the form of souls won to Christ; values passed on to future generations, worship, and anything that will continue on into eternity. People will always be discouraged when they look to anything and everything in this life for happiness and joy. It’s not going to happen; for we will always want more. We will relinquish it all, whether begrudgingly or fatally. So really, it isn’t the economy that is our problem in this country. Oh, it needs to be fixed, it’s in terrible shape. Government regulations will never do it in the place of private enterprise. But it’s the heavenly economy that’s the problem. The majority is completely penniless but will eventually be the only thing that matters. If we fixed our problems of not living in a heavenly economy, it would affect the one we are in there. There I just showed you how to fix our problems in this country: Is anyone listening?
