This happy boy was rescued from a seriously nasty situation a number of years ago. He was owned by some rodeo people when he was 3 and still a stallion. They placed him in eith 2 lsrger stallion cousins. And in the next peb over was a group of mares. One of the mares went in to season and the 3 stallions started competing for her. One of the larger stallions reached down and grabbed this boy by the lower back and ripped his skin all the way to the bone. Instead of calling a vet like they should have done, they got some unsterile table scissors with no anesthesia and cut off the flapping skin leaving his backbone exposed to the elements. Yes, this was an animal control case. This little darling fought for his life for 5 months. He has since then been gelded and now a follow you around little horse. His adoption is pending.
